Goal of the workshop

This workshop aims to foster cooperation among academics, researchers, and practitioners and to exchange the latest experience and research ideas on accessible technology researchers who seek to support digital inclusion for all, regardless of their abilities or location. Bringing together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry, the event will address challenges and innovations in areas such as assistive devices, adaptive interfaces, artificial intelligence, IoT and inclusive educational environments, encouraging the exchange of ideas and collaborations to create solutions that expand digital access in an equitable and universal way.

Call for papers

Digital information and communication technologies are driving significant transformations in society, expanding access to information and enabling digital inclusion in various areas. ITA 2026 (Intelligent Tools for Accessibility) focuses on the technical and practical aspects related to the development of accessible solutions that promote digital inclusion for all. The workshop promotes cooperation between professionals and researchers to exchange experiences and research ideas on the challenges and opportunities in developing accessible technologies for all, regardless of their capabilities or location.

Workshop theme

The area of universal access to information, communication, mobility and other technologies has grown exponentially, driven by the demand for digital inclusion. Accessible and inclusive technologies are those that enable anyone, anywhere, to have equal access to information and digital services. These technologies range from adaptive interfaces and assistive devices to accessible software solutions that leverage AI, cloud computing, mobile and wearable devices, and IoT (Internet of Things). ITA 2026 will address the challenges faced by developers and researchers working to create these accessible and inclusive solutions, aiming to ensure that technology is accessible to everyone, anytime, anywhere.

Scope of the workshop

Researchers and practitioners from around the world, both from academia and industry, working in the areas of universal access technologies and digital inclusion, are invited to submit their papers. The workshop will be a space to discuss cutting-edge solutions, innovative issues, recent developments, applications, methodologies, techniques, case studies and tools for the development of accessible and inclusive technologies. Any submission whose content is relevant to the area of Universal Access, Accessibility, or Human Centered Designs will be considered, but any submission whose subject matter is related to one of the following topics will be particularly welcome, but not limited to:

● Assistive Devices and Adaptive Technologies
● Development of Accessible Interfaces
● Digital Accessibility Solutions
● IoT and Accessibility in Smart Environments
● AI-powered technologies for Accessibility
