SAIS: The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Software Architecture of Intelligent Systems

Call for Papers
The workshop aims to foster cooperation among software researchers and practitioners for exchanging the new research ideas, directions, and latest experiences on software architectures of intelligent systems.

Intelligence on software systems is already accepted as a key IT trends and an effective strategy in developing and deploying business applications. It is well evidenced in recent IT trends reports including Gartner Group’s reports on strategic top 10 IT trends for 2017 and 2018. A key challenge in developing software systems with intelligence features is the architectural complexity of such systems. The architecture of intelligent systems should be well devised to provide a high-level learning and self-controlling capabilities, while yielding a high performance and a high accuracy of the learned models. There is a high demand for new and effective methods for designing architectures of systems with high intelligence and autonomous behaviour. Moreover, the practical experiences for building such systems should be shared.

Scope of the Workshop
Researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry, working in the areas of software architecture, intelligent systems, machine learning, and autonomous systems are invited to discuss state of the art architectural solutions, quality issues, machine learning issues, recent system developments, techniques, experience reports, and tools for designing and validating intelligent systems architecture.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
– Architecture Styles/Patterns for Intelligent Software Systems
– Process to systematically design Intelligent Software Systems
– Architecture Design for Non-Functional Requirements of Intelligent Systems
– Effective Tactics for Realizing Intelligence on Software Systems
– Methods for Employing Machine Learning Algorithms onto the System Architecture
– Architecture Validation for Intelligent Systems
– Quality Model for Quantitatively Assessing the Intelligence of Systems
– Case Studies of Designing Architectures of Intelligent Systems
– Project Reports of Developing Intelligent Systems in various Domain
– IoT Devices and their Utilization on Deploying Intelligent Systems
